The contract

Scope and approach

Sports Board Punjab operates venues across the province, many built decades ago and carrying the wear of continuous public use. This contract upgrades the cricket stadium at Sargodha and installs floodlighting.

Floodlights change what a venue is for. A ground that can only be used in daylight hosts a fraction of the fixtures of one that can play into the evening, so the upgrade is as much about the venue's calendar as its condition.

It sits within a wider programme of six sports contracts the company holds with Sports Board Punjab, covering gymnasium rehabilitation at Multan, Pindi Bhattian and Jaranwala, Sir Syed Sports Complex at Sargodha, and a new sports complex at Bhawana.
