The contract

Scope and approach

LDA Avenue-I is among the largest planned residential schemes developed by the Lahore Development Authority. This package covers pedestrian walkways and traffic regulatory devices across its 80, 100 and 120 foot wide main roads.

The contract was subsequently enhanced to roughly double its original value, which is the clearest signal a public client can give: the enhancement is the department choosing to extend scope with the contractor already on site rather than retender it.

All of it was built in a live, occupied scheme. Residents use these roads daily, so the work was sequenced to keep access and services running throughout.
